This showcases a slightly soulful sound that I’ve grown up with and enjoyed. In the future I’m sure I will be developing this sound and making it more of something my own.
It was made with my working-class sister in mind and a friend of mine’s preference for getting high to relax–hence the background “ahhhhhhh”. The idea behind the song is that the singer works hard for a living and when it’s time for time off, he/she tells his/her boss that, “you’re losing me for a while,” to make a declaration of self-gratification, “to make someone else smile.”
