What about the thousands of kids lost in the earthquake in China and the typhoon in Myanmar? Justice will not be brought to those responsible because it’s simply not important enough. That’s something no one wants to hear but prove me wrong, please!
The kids of the world, if poor enough, will generally continue to suffer shocking tragedies. Why? Because they are poor? Because they are in remote, undeveloped parts of the world? Because they aren’t your children?
Are any of these reasons really good enough for us to resign ourselves to the horrific inhumanity of allowing children to suffer needlessly worldwide?
Well, don’t worry. We can pay the parents off. We can remain silent. We can avoid the uncomfortable truths of the situation because, well, it’s uncomfortable. Never mind the kids.
