If you were an African American living in the US during the civil rights movement of the 1960’s, would you join in the movement? Would you be active or passive? Sit-ins or in-your-face? Would you be more likely to agree with Dr. Martin King or with Malcolm X? Would you be seen with either one of them? Change scenarios and think if you’d respond differently if you were an African American working adult in the Southeast US or an African American college student in Berkeley California. Would you join the movement? How?
