This was made with my aunt Anita in mind, when I was a child and she was dancing the Hustle with other family in the living room of my mother’s mother’s house; she was demonstrating different versions of the Hustle, which impressed me. It was a very long time ago.
I wanted to demonstrate my rhythmic prowess with the synthesized bass guitar. That rhythm sounds a whole lot easier than it is to create. I also wanted to make something that sounded really over the top disco, just because I can.
